It snowed almost all day yesterday, so the ground is covered in snow today. I will admit that a fresh coat of snow on the ground always makes it look quite lovely and cozy. Although I could do without the cold temperatures that it brings… I went outside to take a few photos of it this morning, but didn’t last long outside since it was so cold. Ben let me use his camera so that mine wouldn’t have to experience the severe drop in temp from inside to outside (which was very nice of him, since it meant that his camera did have to go through the drop in temp). Although my fingers couldn’t handle the drop in temp, so it meant that I wasn’t outside for long:)

I got these lovely goodies in the mail the other day from the very sweet Elena of TickledPinkKnits. I don’t think Elena has a blog, but her shop is absolutely lovely and she is very sweet! Thanks Elena! :)
I have only been doing a tiny bit of crafting & sewing lately… I really need to get more done on that skirt if I want to have it made for the holidays. I did get another scarf made and into my shop though…

I had actually been thinking about this scarf for awhile and had set the fabrics aside for making a scarf. It is the same fabric combination as this bag that I made back in July. I love these two prints and love how well they go together even though they are from completely different fabric lines. I order most of my fabric online, so sometimes it can be difficult to match colors and make sure things go together if you can’t look at it in real life and compare. I feel like I sort of lucked out on this fabric combination:)
Axel and Pounce were sitting on the couch together last night, so I thought I would take a few photos. (Both of them have gotten pretty use to the camera and the clicking it makes while they are trying to sleep:) Ben had shown me some photos of Abyssinian cats on flickr the other day, and there was one photo in particular that I really liked and wanted to try to capture something like that of Axel (who is a tabby/abyssinian mix). I didn’t get quite what I wanted, but I do like this photo that I took quite a bit at least…

Speaking of flickr & photography… I really need to get myself a pro flickr account. When I started using flickr, I really wondered why anyone would pay for a flickr account & now with over 200 photos in my flickr stream I totally get it:)
I ran into the same problem with flickr recently…I was thinking about switching to zooomr (http://www.zooomr.com/) which appears to have pretty decent free accounts, but haven’t due to the fact that there is no plug-in for the photo management software I use. However if that feature is added later I’d probably switch.
I just hit the 200 mark, too. Maybe I’ll have to upgrade as well!
I desperately need a pro account too, but since someone needs Santa Claus come, I am going to have to wait. LOL
I just upgraded myself. Hey – did you see you were a featured link in Craft Magazine?
Sweet kitty! Its amazing how many pictures you end up accumulating. I didn’t know anything about photography until this year now I take my camera everywhere.
The scarf is great and your kitty has such a sweet face!
I love all the winter photos, I hope your staying warm.
I also had the same thoughts when I got my flickr account. But then I upgraded my camera and well I ran out of space pretty quickly. I would say it’s totally worth it.
Love the snow photo…I too love the initial snowfall, but could do without the cold.
the scarf looks beautiful :)
