On Sunday I had a friend’s baby shower to attend, so last Wednesday (or was it Thursday) I picked out some fabric for the gift and waited until Friday (!) to actually sew up the gift. Very last minute, which I suppose went along with the project I picked to make since it was from Last Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts. I spent most of Saturday sitting in my studio on my chair in the sunshine hand stitching the binding, which was not a terrible way to spend a Saturday. I think this might become my new baby shower gift, since I have a few more baby showers to attend in the near future (although I might try to make those a little less last minute :)

love it!
Very cute! I just made one recently too.
What a cute blankie!
So very, very cute! It’ll probably be a good idea to make a couple of these and have them handy.
i am guilty of waiting to sew baby gifts quite frequently. love the colors. job well done.
very cute. i love the main flannel.
last minute is fine if you have the time for it, lol, I just did a baby shower gift and was sewing on the signature label at the final hour. whew! I like what you made, flannel was made for babies.
how cute and sweet! hand stitching binding in the sun sounds like the perfect saturday activity to me, too.
Wow, you got that together very quickly! Nice work!! I wish I could pull off a quick little gift like that a bit more often. Beautiful.
