a drive in the country

From a drive in the country a few weekends back…

Since we have moved here, we haven’t had much time to wander very far from home. (Other than a little bit this summer for some whale watching, seeing the San Juan Islands, and a day trip to Bainbridge Island.)

So we decided to drive up north a bit and explore a few weekends ago. Of course, we had to stop the car a lot for all the photo taking opportunities…

And to walk this trail for a bit…

And to make new friends…

I didn’t want to have to say goodbye. She was so friendly & sweet! :)

Some sewing in my next post…. I am so excited to share a few of the things I have been working on! :)

fall even though it is winter

At this point I think it is more winter than fall here in the Seattle area (there was a light dusting of snow this weekend even), but I still have a few more fall photos that I really wanted to share. All of these were taken with a rented lens, that I really did not want to ever have to return but I did…

I have a few more fall photos to share, a few sewing projects, and maybe even a tutorial (which is currently in the works), so hopefully I will find the time this week to post at least some of that. :)

Oh and hopefully this post is showing up in bloglines… The feed for my blog seems to work just fine in google reader, but bloglines doesn’t seem to be updating my blog feed…

December One Quilt

December is my month for One Quilt. Of course being me I sent my fabric out a bit late… I have excuses but none of which are all that exciting & really all that matters is that I finally sent out 11 packages of fabric to the wonderful group of women that are participating in this project.

I am so excited to see what I get back! When I get all my blocks back, I am planning on adding a few more of my own blocks & bordering them all with some more of that white fabric. Then hopefully we will have a new quilt for our bed! :)
