Scarf giveaway winners

A couple books that I ordered last week, because there was just such a long wait to get these from the library & I just had to read them. I would love to hear what some of you are reading…

It was so hard to only pick 2 names for the scarf giveaway! (There were 165 entries after totaling up all the comments & the extra entries for adding my little banner to your blog sidebar!) I seriously wish I had a scarf to give to each and every one of you… I think that would take quite a bit of time & sewing though! :) So instead I used an excel spreadsheet & that random number picker and made myself draw just 2 names.

The winners of the drawing are Emily of Ravenhill and Jessica K. of Paper Poppies…

Congratulations on a huge acheivement! Since blogging for about a year and a half I know it takes dedication and love of it to keep the momentum for so long.

There is so much to love on your blog: your inspiring photography, the wonderful children you photograph, the cats and then I guess my alltime favorite eye candy: your colorful crafts!

Thank you for sharing so much!

Lovely scarf. Now that I have landed in Iowa I MUST use your tutorial….it is FREEZING here!!

Ladies email me your snail mail addresses & I will get your scarves out to you :)

The rest of you… Thank you so much for your lovely comments! I was so wowed by all your kind words :) I just might have to do another giveaway soon, since there was such a great response to this one! Thanks for stopping by here and taking the time to read what I have to say :)

this needs a clever title

If you are looking for the winter linen scarf tutorial it is here. If you are looking for the giveaway post, there is still time to leave a comment to be entered in the drawing and it is here.

So there is no crafting in sight for me today at least. Although I did finish a quilt top last week that I have been working on for awhile – photos of that to come soon. (I actually set a pretty crazy goal for myself this year as far as quilting goes, so I think you might see a bit more quilting around here in the future. Which is fine by me because I am just loving quilting!)

Currently I am just working on behind the scenes sort of stuff like processing photos from my sister & her  fiance’s engagement session (from when they were here visiting us at the beginning of January) & trying to pick up the house a bit. So until I have more to show around here, I thought I would share some cute kitty photos… These 2 are always up for some camera time :)

Of course, just in case you think there are never any outtakes. They don’t always behave the way they are supposed to, but who can expect brothers to always want to get along :)

(If you are at all curious about the lighting or setup for the above photos, check out my flickr for a couple of notes… Maybe one of these days if there is any interest, I will post some more on my blog about my setup for taking photos.)

winter photos

Just trying to get some stuff done around the house today, so I thought I would post some photos. I took all of these photos before Christmas (which will explain the 3rd photo down)…

This last photo isn’t an amazing photo, but it just makes me laugh!
