If you are looking for the winter linen scarf tutorial it is here. If you are looking for the giveaway post, there is still time to leave a comment to be entered in the drawing and it is here.
So there is no crafting in sight for me today at least. Although I did finish a quilt top last week that I have been working on for awhile – photos of that to come soon. (I actually set a pretty crazy goal for myself this year as far as quilting goes, so I think you might see a bit more quilting around here in the future. Which is fine by me because I am just loving quilting!)
Currently I am just working on behind the scenes sort of stuff like processing photos from my sister & herĀ fiance’s engagement session (from when they were here visiting us at the beginning of January) & trying to pick up the house a bit. So until I have more to show around here, I thought I would share some cute kitty photos… These 2 are always up for some camera time :)
Of course, just in case you think there are never any outtakes. They don’t always behave the way they are supposed to, but who can expect brothers to always want to get along :)
(If you are at all curious about the lighting or setup for the above photos, check out my flickr for a couple of notes… Maybe one of these days if there is any interest, I will post some more on my blog about my setup for taking photos.)

Lovely photos!
Such super photos-even the outtake is wonderful; cute kittehs!
Yes, those photos do call for a clever title. I would love to hear more about how to set up good photo shots, especially since we are all getting better at managing our blogs and shops. I’d like to know a great way to get good lighting in a room without casting shadows or looking to bright. In this winter light, even in SC, it’s no good to take photos outside – it’s either too bright and shadowy or too blue and gloomy. I’ve been using white foam board for backgrounds, but that isn’t always the best for me. I think it’s going to be a portable lighting system that I need to figure out. Thanks.
Too cute :0)
How cute! I love how the series progresses to them getting ready to rumble!
It looks like in the last picture, Kitty 2 is saying “Aww, buddy. I love ya!” and Kitty 1: “Just.. don’t.” Or maybe someone has kitty breath? haha. They’re so cute! What I’d love to know is how you get them to sit still. Lots of clapping and waving and outtakes, I bet ;)
Wow! You are such a talented photographer. I came here via SMS Twitter feed, and your cat photos made my day. I’ve bookmarked your photography info on Flickr… lord knows I need it.
Too cute, especially the paw caress. They both deserve treats!
Those kitties photos are adorable :)
That “out take” is hilarious!! Those two have some gorgeous eyes! Do they get along well? I keep telling my husband our furball needs a little brother.
I would love to know how you set up for you pictures, they are all amazing!
oh your kitties are adorable! very photogenic!
Awesome pictures! I couldn’t get my cat to even sit long enough to take a picture.
I love the last photo the best. Wish we could have a kitty. We’ll just have to borrow the neighbors that comes to visit.
My mom just adopted a cat that looks similar to your two guys and she’s impossible to take pictures of. She just won’t sit still.
Beautiful cat portraits!
