I hardly even know where to start this post! I think the title of this post really sums up how I feel about this new blogging home. In case you just happened to stumble across my “new” blog or don’t know the backstory already, awhile back I accidentally lost the domain name of my blog of 3 years. So after a bit of thinking, I decided to start fresh with a new name. All my old posts are still here, but it is a new name & a new place for me to write and share my thoughts. The new name “Sew Click Create” is inspired by some of my favorite things – sewing, photography, and living a creative life.
Whether my blog is new to you or you are a friend who has been waiting for me to get my blog back up and running, welcome! I am looking forward to sharing this fresh start with all of you :)
It has only been about 2 months since I was last able to post, but a lot has been happening… We are settling into our new home (same city) quite nicely and really enjoying having a bit more space. Ben has always been super sweet about making sure I have space wherever we live for my crafting, but I have to say that this place tops the rest of the places we have lived. I have a room completely to myself for my studio! :) It is bright & airy with a lovely high ceiling. Of course I just had to paint it when we moved in, and not being sick of the color in our old studio/office I picked the same color. (It reminds me of the sky, so on grey Seattle days life feels a bit brighter :)
My poor ironing board needed updating though, since it really didn’t go with my lovely new studio. I wish I had taken some before shots, because it looks so much better now. The old cover that came with the board was falling off & didn’t really fit properly. So much better!

This was such an easy project, I was practically kicking myself that I hadn’t updated my ironing board cover sooner! I read a bunch of ironing board cover tutorials & then just traced around my ironing board onto the fabric using a fabric pen with disappearing ink. Then I traced a few inches away from that line & cut out the fabric. After that I laid my fabric onto the batting & cut that out. I then sewed those together & sewed some elastic into a tunnel around the edges of the fabric/batting leaving a spot to tighten & tie the elastic. An ironing board cover ready for its closeup! :)
