Fabric Crush Shop Photos

Sort of double posting this from my photography blog, but I just had to share these over here as well since they are sewing related! :) I had the opportunity this summer to photograph Fabric Crush, a great fabric shop here in Seattle. This shop has the most amazing location in Wallingford with beautiful tall ceilings & light just streaming in the huge windows! Gorgeous fabrics too of course!

Most of my summer was spent working on my business, so it was fun to mix a little business and sewing (even if it was just photographing & looking at beautiful fabrics)!

Of course if you stop in you just might get to meet Katie or Ahava, who both work there!

And don’t say I didn’t warn you, if you stop in you may feel the need to buy some fabric :)

Green Ticking Pillows

As I promised in my last post, the other two finished pillows… For these I used green ticking fabric, which I absolutely love!

A little appliqued squirrel, because who can resist a woodland creature :) I think  he is pretty cute :)

The second pillow with the green trim I had quite a bit of help on from my mother, because I honestly have no clue when it comes to math & the trim was too much math for me at 2 in the morning. (When she comes to visit, we often stay up till all hours of the night sewing :)

Both pillows also have invisible zippers on the backs. Katie has a great tutorial for invisible zippers on her blog if you are at all intimidated :)

Grey Linen Pillows

Hello! Remember me? I seem to have forgotten about this little blog :) Not on purpose really, it is just life has been crazy busy this summer. Fall seems to be on its way in though & I miss my friends in this space, so I am going to try to be around here more frequently. Hopefully some of you will join me and maybe even stop to say hi :)

I finished these pillows awhile ago, but never got around the sharing them so it is about time I post these. (My mother will be quite happy, since she keeps reminding me that she wants to see these :)

My mom actually helped me with these when she was out visiting . I wanted a bunch of throw pillows for our living room that sort of matched, but didn’t want any of them to be exactly the same. I made these two along with two other pillows (that I will share in my next post I promise). The main fabric is a light grey in 100% linen and the green is a Carolina Chambray. The one with piping was looking a little too plain while I was putting it together, so I came up with the quilting on the front to give it a little extra something. Both pillows have invisible zippers. To put them in I followed Katie’s awesome tutorial :)

I will be back soon with 2 more finished pillows! I am also blogging more regularly over at my photo blog :)
