There is a lot going on over here & little time to photograph/document it :) I went to a quilt retreat a couple weekends ago & had a fabulous time. I finished up several projects & made some good progress on a couple as well. It was a very productive weekend! (Love that about quilt retreats!) Since I got back though, I haven’t had time to photograph my projects (let alone work on any :)…

My sewing room is coming along nicely – I completely finished painting my fabric cupboards, I painted the ceiling yesterday, and the walls are primed & ready to be painted. After the walls, my sweet husband will rip out the carpet & lay down the new flooring I picked out. It has been a big project, but I am loving the results so far! As soon as the dust settles I am looking forward to sewing again :)

Oh, I also got a new camera that I am loving so far! I am doing somewhat of a “trial” run to see if I want to keep it, but so far I love it! I am sure there will be photos around here soon from that :)

Of course the puppy is taking up a lot of time, along with my business, the house projects, and we have family coming to visit the end of the month… So I will probably remain a little quiet on the blog for awhile longer, but as soon as things quiet down at the end of the month expect to see me around here a bit more :)

Living Room – Before & After

Warning – This post is a bit photo heavy, but I just had to share all of these :)

I hesitate to call this finished, since I feel like I am still working on this room. Still I thought it would be fun to share a “before” and “after”. (And maybe another “after” the “after” once I get the room completely done.)

We did a lot to this room – removed the paneling over the fireplace, painted all 4 walls, and rearranged several times… Still not sure what arrangement I like the best – the windows/walls/doors in this room complicate having both good seating with convenient places to set drinks and good walkways at the same time. The bookshelves now reside in a spare bedroom (which opens up the room a bit) and I still need to paint the window trim white, plus add some artwork (I have put a little up since I took these). We also bought a new coffee table/end table & at some point I plan on switching out the slipcovers on those chairs for white ones that actually match :) Overall, I love how the room has turned out though!

Hopefully at some point in the near future, I can share some “after” the “after” photos. I just hung some artwork all by myself yesterday (for the first time ever :)… So now that I know how to hang artwork all by myself, I have grand plans for a gallery wall on the long empty wall behind the loveseat :) Now I just need to collect a bunch of art/photos & get to hanging everything up!

Puppy Overload

Going back through some old photos & I can hardly believe how tiny our puppy started out! These are from about 6 weeks old (I believe) & taken while visiting the breeders…

Oh my goodness! Can you handle that amount of cute?! :) Hard to believe our “baby” is over 60 lbs at this point & still growing :)
